Abstract: This is the story of how Unisys provided TravelSky with the platform to successfully handle the business volumes for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Faced with phenomenal growth and huge transaction volumes, automation was the only option to support the workload and deliver the service. Jim describes the advanced disaster recovery, workflow management, and shared component automation implemented at TravelSky and other clients worldwide.

Biography: Jim has been working in the data center automation field for over 20 years. He has seen the internal workings of most data centers shift from one of highly staffed chaos to automated, efficient operation. Unisys Operations Sentinel (SPO), Enterprise Output Manager (EOM), and SMA OpCon/xps, have profoundly simplified the operation of world-class data centers around the globe. At the same time, these products have reduced costs while improving quality on a daily basis.

Abstract: ATT is the new, exciting capability in AB Suite 2.0 that enables developers to easily capture and edit test cases with real world clients, and then play them back automatically at any time. It is a quick and easy way to provide unit and regression testing for your AB Suite applications. The result is improved productivity and application quality. This lab will take you through creation of a test suite, editing the validation criteria, and then playback of a test session to check for regressions in your application.

Biography: George is president of McGowan Computer Associates, Inc., an organization dedicated to providing Enterprise Application Environment (LINC) consulting services and training to Unisys and its customers. He has more than twenty years of experience in the design, development, implementation, migration and support of LINC/LDA/EAD-based systems on the following platforms: A Series, 2200, UNIX, LDA, EAD and NT. He has developed training materials and conducted training courses in the following areas: EAE/LINC/LDA III development, design, operations, interfaces, PCE, PCE Administration, GUI Design, Component Enabler, Presentation Client, Version Control, and Direct Generate. His business experience includes project management, consulting, and business planning. Recent projects include migrations to GUI and web-based systems, implementation of Web Services, and conversion of a system to utilize NT direct generate. He was part of the early adopter program and training for AB Suite. George has been involved with the CUBE and UNITE user organizations for many years and has held the positions of Vice Chair and Chair of Applications/Integration Products & Services, Vice Chair of Conference Planning, and Chair of Conference Planning. Most recently, George served on the UNITE Board of Directors as Secretary/Treasurer (2004-2007) and as Chairman of the Board (2008-2009).
